Looking to go perfect on precise picks this week make sure you keep up with them as the fight goes on. I have focused in on one wager for the valued readers and I to cash on tonight.
The Line: Tucker Lutz (-118) vs. Kevin Aguilar (+100)
Tucker Lutz (11-1) enters the UFC octagon after winning back-to-back fights on Dana White’s Contender Series. Lutz is up against Kevin Aguilar (17-4) who fought last in June of 2020. Aguilar lost his last three fights and was finished by KO/TKO in one of those bouts.
Tucker Lutz does wrestle averaging 2 takedowns per 15 minute fight. Aguilar has not been a grappler in his UFC career averaging 0.45 takedowns per 15 minute fight. Lutz is fancy on the feet and lands 4.33 significant strikes per minute with a 49% accuracy. Opposed to Aguilar who averages 3.69 strikes per minute with a 37% accuracy. Aguilar absorbs an ugly 4.47 strikes per minute. Opposed to Lutz who absorbs 2.80 strikes per minute.
Lutz is an inch taller and Aguilar has an inch more of standing reach. I’m not sure what the endgame is here for Aguilar but I expect him to compete after losing his last three fights. However, Lutz is finally getting his opportunity to show his skill set in the UFC after proving himself on DWCS twice. Aguilars inability to grapple worries me in this spot and Lutz on the feet hasn’t given me any substantial reason to back off of picking him to win this fight.
