Toronto Raptors (26-36) led by Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry will look to stay mathematically alive in the Eastern Conference playoff hunt when they enter the Ball Arena. Facing-off against a powerhouse Denver Nuggets (41-21) team led by ‘Prolific scorer’ Nikola Jokic.
Neither team is playing a great brand of defense. Raptors will be without Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr., Paul Watson and Chris Boucher. Nuggets are without Jamal Murray, Monte Morris and Will Barton. Michael Porter Jr. has been raised to probable for tonight’s matchup.
Last time these two teams met they both had players that are no longer with their respective teams. Toronto would go on to win that game 135-111 on March 24, 2021. Over is 8-1 in Raptors last 9 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Over is 5-1 in Raptors last 6 Thursday games. Over is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings in Denver. Over is 20-8-1 in the last 29 meetings between these two teams. Toronto is in a pace-up spot tonight as well.
I don’t believe Toronto is soft-tanking. Taking it a step further; it is not in good faith for people in the media or even on a small market dfs show to spew that type of rhetoric. They aren’t taking a plane to Denver to end up lambasted by a Nuggets team that is missing a lot of key weapons. I anticipate an better game than people are giving credit for. Both teams have gone over tonight’s point total in twice out of their last three games.
