The Line: Alexandre “The Cannibal” Pantoja (-120) v Manel “Starboy” Kape (+102)
Much is unknown about up and comer Manel Kape bolstering a (15-4) record. Making his UFC debut tonight, one thing for certain is Manel has been on a tear in the Rizin fight league. Finishing his last three-opponents by KO/TKO. After a year and one-month layoff the leap in competition is immensely big for Manel Kape tonight. Kape fights southpaw and has the potential to give Pantoja fits in this fight with Pantoja’s orthodox stance. A slight reach advantage going for Kape as well.
Alexandre Pantoja (22-5) is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Askar Askarov six-months ago; who is also fighting on this card. Pantoja likes to mix it up on the feet and can keep his pace going deep in fights. This fight has limited potential to stay on the ground with Kape’s striking background, and Pantoja averaging 1.08 takedowns per 15 minutes. I believe this will be one of the better fights on the card and the pace will match that.
My wager: Fight To End By KO/TKO (+155)
Play or Fade? I’d love to know.
