Khama Worthy (-130) vs. Ottman Azaitar (+105).
Khama Worthy enters this fight on a seven-fight win streak and bolstering a 16-6 career record. Recently beating Luis Pena in June of this year by a guillotine choke submission in the third round. Ottman Azaitar who normally fights at welterweight made the cut down to lightweight for this bout. Azaitar hasn’t fought in a year but that shouldn’t worry you. Azaitar was on a tear, bolstering an undefeated record of 12-0.
Worthy can beat you a lot of different ways from his diverse striking to grappling skills. However, Azaitar has only been to decision once in his undefeated career. Worthy will have a 3″ reach and leg reach advantage. Also this is more of Worthy’s weight class than Azaitar’s.
Worthy averages a modest 4.4 SLpM (strikes landed per minute). Opposed to Azaitar who averages 7.61 SLpM. Worthy also comes up short compared to Azaitar in significant strikes absorbed per minute category. Worthy is able to defend 49% of significant strikes thrown at him. Opposed to Azaitar who defends a hefty 57% of significant strikes thrown at him.
My best bet: OVER 1.5 Rounds (-139).
Brok Weaver (+240) vs. Jalin Turner (-357).
Lately in the UFC fighters who have taken fights on short notice have done well. Makes sense why the line reflects this. Jalin Turner steps in place of Frank Camacho. Brok Weaver didn’t have things go his way last time out against Roosevelt Roberts back in May of this year. Being submitted by Roberts in the second round. Turner TKO’d Joshua Culibao back in February of this year.
Turner bolsters a career record of 9-5. Weaver has a 15-5 record. This fight is at catch weight and both fighters made weight without a hiccup. Weaver will be determined tonight to keep his feet under him and not allow Turner to piece him up throughout this fight. What worries me about Weaver is he only defends 36% of significant strikes thrown at him. Opposed to Turner who defends a better 49% of significant strikes. Turner also lands 1.58 more significant strikes per minute than Weaver. Both men are Southpaws. Based on how these two fight that spells a finish to me.
My best bet: Under 2.5 rounds (-159).
