The Line: OKC +195 vs. Lakers -235
OKC is in no way an easy match up for the Lakers. Dennis Schroder will still be out for the Thunder and in a new wrinkle Dwight Howard will be out for the Lakers tonight. Wasn’t impressed with the Lakers lack of offense against the Raptors. Recently the Thunder played the Nuggets in a tight game that went to overtime but resulted in a 121-113 loss. Even without Schroder the Thunder are impressive and were the undersized team in that contest.
This will be a closer contest than many people are giving credit for. Look to the veteran leadership of Chris Paul and Steven Adams to set the pace for the Thunder. With S. Gilgeous-Alexander and Gallinari playing well the Thunder will look to find their rhythm early on. If not they are the best second half team in the NBA.
The Lakers led by LeBron and Anthony Davis will look to disrupt the OKC’s trio of scoring. The Lakers excel in so many areas let me give you some insight where they will run in to trouble tonight. Lakers rank 23rd in turning the ball over. That is atrocious. Lakers rank 28th in free throw shooting percentage. With all that being said I see the Lakers squeaking by in this game.
My wager: OKC +7 (-145)
