The Line: Orlando Magic (-330) vs. Brooklyn Nets (+265)
Orlando Magic come into this game with a massive bench advantage and starting advantage. Spencer Dinwiddie, Michael Beasley, Taurean Prince, and DeAndre Jordan are all out of the restart for the Brooklyn Nets. Orlando has a healthy Jonathan Isaac back and was in good form before the season stopped unexpectedly.
As it stands the Nets are in 7th place and the Magic are in 8th place in the Eastern Conference. This game has playoff implications and both sides will be grinding it out. Orlando’s center Nikola Vucevic should feast on a less talented back court for Brooklyn. Brooklyn’s only hope is that Caris Levert and Jarrett Allen provide enough of a one-two punch to disrupt Orlando’s flow. Brooklyn will also need enough quality minutes from their role players to survive with a win.
Orlando’s bench was coming on strong in the second half of the season. I see both teams shaking off some rust in this game. Orlando gets comfortable at some point and begins to distance themselves from the Nets. Nets will barely make a 100 points tonight and that’s more because of Orlando’s poor defense. Orlando can score 112 or higher in this game against a patch-work Nets squad, that even when healthy was not consistent on defense.
My wager: OVER 210.5 (-110)
